ELKRIDGE, Md. — Two more credit unions have contracted with CRI Systems Inc. to use the company's Route One indirect lending interface through its CRIterion loan origination software platform.
They are $168 million 1st Financial FCU of St. Charles, Mo., and $238 million GCS FCU of Granite City, Ill., the company said.
The Route One indirect lending tool works with the CRIterion platform to provide instant approval and financing at the dealership and integration with more than 20 core processing providers, the company said.

Elkridge-based CRI Systems (www.crisystems.net) now provides lending technology solutions and support to more than 250 credit unions, the company said.
Biometrics Specialist Creates New Company With CU Focus
OKLAHOMA CITY — A new company is offering biometrics applications specifically to credit unions.
Human Element Biometrics (www.hebiometrics.com) is an offshoot of RG2 Solutions, a developer of biometrics solutions and re-seller of DigitalPersona solutions that began with credit unions and has expanded to health care, corrections, retail and other industries, the company said.
"RG2′s focus is credit unions, and we want it to stay that way" said Roger Grant, Human Element Biometrics founder and RG2 Solutions president. "That being the case Human Element Biometrics will now take those products and move forward as a separate company."
Grant said three credit unions currently are running the Oklahoma City company's BioTran fingerprint verification solution for point of transaction and safe deposit box verification. Others are in the evaluation process for that product and for DigitalPersona Pro biometric security solutions for networks and applications, Grant said.
"The credit union industry is starting to take notice of the technology, and we expect a steady increase in adoption rates now that the technology as a mature and stable option," Grant said.
Another company product–BioConnector–allows software developers to quickly add fingerprint verification tools to core applications.
"With BioConnector we are looking to partner with core system vendors so they can add fingerprint verification to their systems quickly and easily literally in hours, not months" Grant added.
CUOL Hires Data Center Director
WALTHAM, Mass. — A new director of data center operations has been hired at Credit Union On-Line Inc.
Anthony Patella will direct planning, organization and management of the data center for the CUSO that serves 28 credit unions running Fiserv's XP2 core processing platform.
Patella comes from Tampa, Fla., and had been a personal banker with Bank of America and also had worked in data processing, service bureau and financial services roles with Lanier Worldwide, COMTEK and NCR Corp/AT&T Business Services, CUOL said.
Patella will help CUOL (www.cuol.com) handle continuing growth at the industry's only data center dedicated to running the XP2 platform in an outsourced environment. The CUSO said it also has created a new network security administrator position.
IMM Reports First-Half Signings
LINDEN, N.J. — Integrated Media Management said it added 30 new users of its document management and automation technology products and expanded business with 38 existing customers during the first six months of 2008.
The provider of the TotaleWorks of document output and electronic signature solutions to more than 600 credit unions and banks said it also signed 11 customers for its new professional services strategic planning team.
IMM (www.immonline.com) said its products are now in place at more than 600 financial institutions nationwide and are currently interfaced with nine core processors and the major compliance vendors.
