Members 1st Federal Credit Union, Mechanicsburg, Pa., announced that Christopher Hoffman has been hired as manager of the South Hanover branch that is scheduled to open at the end of 2008. Hoffman is a graduate of Central Pennsylvania Business School with an associate in specialized business degree in supervisory management. He is also a member of the McSherrystown Knights of Columbus, where he serves as auditor and is president of the Adams Area Catholic Youth Organization.

Teachers Federal Credit Union, Farmingville, N.Y., announced that Thomas A. Fallon has been named chief operating office. Fallon will also continue to serve as executive vice president, a position he has held at the credit union for more than 19 years. In his new position, Fallon will focus on managing the information technology center and systems and will be working the enhance the efficiency and technology in the lending department.

Charter Oak Federal Credit Union, Groton, Conn., announced that Kimberly Bartlett has been named media, community and organizational relations coordinator. Bartlett will oversee credit union public relations and all activities within the community. Also, Debra Lebasi was promoted to collection manager. Lebasi is a 26 year member of the credit union staff. Since Lebasi started at Charter Oak in 1982, she was worked as a teller, member service representative, collection clerk, loan interviewer and a work leader.

SOUTH

Langley Federal Credit Union
, Newport News, Va., announced certifications for two of its employees. Marilyn Kuhn, vice president of human resources, earned certification as a senior professional in human resources from the Human Resource Certification Institute. Jeff Gehris, training and career development specialist, has been certified to conduct Langley's Sales Training Program through the Fairmont Management Co.

DATCU Credit Union, Denton, Texas, announced that Vice President/Comptroller Melanie Vest graduated from the Southwest CUNA Management School. The three-year program for credit union executives was held at Texas Christian
University in Forth Worth, Texas. The school is designed to develop credit union leaders at the speed of change. The primary requirement for graduation is completion of a comprehensive, three-year strategic business plan for the students own
credit union, along with over 180 classroom hours. Vest has been an employee at DATCU since 2002.

MIDWEST

Afena Federal Credit Union, Marion, Ind., announced that President/CEO Sheila Burkhart celebrated her 30th anniversary at the credit union. Burkhart serves as a board member for the Family Service Society and volunteers at the Grant County Imagination Library. She is also vice president of the Grant County Credit Union Chapter and serves on the Indiana Credit Union League Audit and Finance Committee. Also, Vice President/Chief Financial Officer Janet Shaffer was one of four representatives from Indiana-based credit unions who received their diploma from CUNA Management School. Shaffer as worked at Afena for the past eight years.

Central Star Credit Union, Wichita, Kan., announced that it has hired Kristi Avila as payroll/benefits administrator and trainer. Avila has over 18 years of human resource, training and financial institution experience. Also, Tim Scharenberg was hired as mortgage loan officer. Scharenberg has four years of mortgage experience.

WEST

California Coast Credit Union, San Diego, announced that Robyn Quaco has been selected the Boys and Girls Club of San Marcos 2008 program volunteer of the year. Quaco has worked for the past three years to help prepare teens ages 13-18 at the Boys and Girls Club for the financial responsibilities of adulthood by teaching money matters, an after-school program. The program teaches banking basics, money management skills, budgeting and financial goal setting. Quaco is the community relations manager for California Coast.

Ent Federal Credit Union
, Colorado Springs, Colo., announced new staff hiring and promotions. Pam Kastrava was named the new manager for the South service center. Kastrava has been with Ent for over eight years and most recently was manager at the Woodland Park service center. Pat Key was hired as Ent's new center manager of the Woodland Park service center. Key has over 28 years of financial industry experience and most recently served as branch manager for Vectra Bank. Brian Sierer was hired as service center manager of the Briargate service center. Sierer has over eight years of financial, banking and management experience and has most recently worked as branch manager and vice president at JP Morgan Chase bank. Cindy Abrams was promoted to manager of the Jackson Creek service center. Abrams has been with Ent for over seven years.

VENDORS

W.J. Bradley Co., Dallas, announced that James Hagen has been hired as its new controller. Prior to coming to W.J. Bradley, Hagen held positions with Flagstone Lending Group and was previously chief financial officer for Allied Home Mortgage.

Executive Compensation Solutions, Glendora, Calif., announced that Suzanne Meyer has been hired as technical adviser. Meyer was formerly with Mullin-TBG Consulting as a senior client relationship manager.

TNB Card Services, Dallas, announced that it has named Mitch Raymond senior vice president, product development. Raymond has more than 18 years of experience in financial services and comes to TNB from Citigroup, where he most recently served as vice president, senior operations manager. At TNB Raymond will be responsible for product development, new product development efforts, implementation and product strategies.

McGladrey & Pullen's National Credit Union Audit Practice, Minneapolis, announced the addition of two new partners. Sherry McCoy and Tracy Whetstone were added to the audit and assurance team. McCoy has been providing audit services for a broad range of financial service companies with the firm's Southern California practice since 1997 and has been with the firm since 1990. Whetstone started her career in public accounting in 1989.

Member Loyalty Group, Chicago, Ill., announced the appointment of Rebecca Secor as program manager for its credit union Net Promoter Score activities. Prior to coming to Member Loyalty, Secor served as marketing manager for Educators Credit Union in Racine, Wis. Member Loyalty Group is a credit union service organization created to provide a common member loyalty measurement across the credit union industry and to provide collaborative programs and services to support member loyalty initiatives at credit unions.
