Retail Employees Credit Union, Atlanta, announced the promotion of Vickie Ford to financial services manager. Ford previously served as loan manager and has over 15 years of experience in the credit union industry. In her new role, Ford will be responsible for overseeing branch network, member service, lending and other credit union activities.

Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union, Live Oak, Texas, announced that Cynthia Beltran was named branch manager of the recently opened Potranco branch. Beltrain has been with Randolph-Brooks for eight years and most recently served as branch manager for the Mission South branch. Beltran began her career at Randolph-Brooks at the Mission South branch as a part-time teller. Also, Lorena Bourland was named branch manager at the Mission South branch. Bourland has worked at Randolph-Brooks for 14 years. Robert Jenkins moved from branch manager of the Summit branch to become Live Oak branch manager. Jenkins has worked at Randolph-Brooks for 10 years and worked for the past four as manager at the Summit branch.

San Antonio Federal Credit Union, San Antonio, announced the retirement of Gen. W John Soper, USAF Ret., from its board of directors. Soper has been on the board for 18 years. Soper joined SACU in 1988 and was elected to the board in 1990. He served as chairman from 1992-1994 and was re-elected to the board in 1996. He also served as vice chairman from 1998-2001.

MIDWEST

American Credit Union, Milwaukee, Wis., announced the hiring of Cassie Corbett to the commercial lending department as a credit review officer. Corbett earned her bachelor of science in finance in Shanxi, the Peoples Republic of China. After graduation she became a teacher at a banking college and in 1991 immigrated to the United States, where she earned a master of arts in accounting. Corbett has also earned her CPA and obtained her loan review certification. Prior to American CU, Corbetter was an assistant vice president in loan review for a local community bank.

Mid-America Credit Union Association, Bismarck, N.D., announced the hiring of Jeff Olson as director of political affairs and public relations. Olson has experience in association advocacy and has a background working directly with policymakers and legislative leadership.

WEST

Greater Nevada Credit Union, Carson City, Nev., announced the selection of Rusty Duncan as a new branch manager. Duncan will be manager of the Carson City 2nd Street and Carson City High School branches. The high school branch is operated by high school students. Duncan will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the high school branch. Duncan has worked for the past 11 months as member resource center manager for Greater Nevada.

American First Credit Union. La Habra, Calif., announced that Jim Hale has been appointed director of operations. Hale has 18 years of financial industry experience and has held various operational positions at Bank of American, Union Bank of California and most recently held a position as director of branches for Schools First Federal Credit Union. Hale has also served on the board of directors for Consumer Credit Counseling Services, Orange County, and the trustee board for the First Evangelical Free Church, Fullerton. Also, Victor Hum has been appointed director of sales. Hum has over 20 years of financial industry experience. He most recently was financial center manager at Washington Mutual Bank in Oakland, Calif.
