FARMERS BRANCH, Texas — With attention focused on disaster recovery, the Texas Credit Union League said Tuesday it has canceled its Sept. 18 town hall meeting featuring NCUA Vice Chair Rodney Hood as its key speaker.
The one-day Dallas conference is being scrapped, said the league, because so many of the registrants are from affected areas of south Texas and are unable to attend.
In addition, the industry's efforts now “are being placed on disaster recovery, and, thus, TCUL and other involved parties felt it most appropriate to cancel the meeting.”
The town hall conference had been scheduled for the Doubletree Hotel in Dallas.
