MIRAMAR, Fla. — Eastern Financial Florida Credit Union is once again lending a helping hand in Haiti with the launch of “Help Haiti-Again.”
Last May, the credit union organized a month-long campaign called “Help Haiti Now” to feed starving Haitians who were victims of an island-wide food shortage.
Today, it is once again raising money for the many thousands of people whose lives are in danger due to recent hurricanes and devastating floods.
Through the month of October, each of Eastern Financial's 22 South Florida branches will invite members and employees to make a monetary donation to Food for The Poor, a South Florida-based charity that delivers aid to the island.
Members will also have an opportunity to donate by way of direct account transfer or by going online to a customized site www.foodforthepoor.org/easternfinancial.
