WASHINGTON — Attendees at next week's NAFCU Congressional Caucus are scheduled to hear from all three NCUA Board members, key subcommittee chairs and representatives of both major party presidential candidates.

The speakers at the conference, which begins with an opening reception on Sunday and the first general session on Monday, include NCUA Chairman Michael E, Fryzel, NCUA Vice Chair Rodney Hood and NCUA Board Member Gigi Hyland.

Speakers from Capitol Hill include: Rep. Paul Kanjorski (D-Pa.), a leading supporter of credit unions and chairman of the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Capital Markets, Insurance and Government Sponsored Enterprises; Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY), a credit union backer and chairwoman of the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit; Rep. Ed Royce (R-Ca.), a strong credit union backer and a senior Republican on the House Financial Services Committee; and Sen. Daniel Akaka (D-Hawaii), a key backer of financial literacy initiatives and a member of the Senate Banking Committee.
