LOMBARD, Ill. — Gerald Hollis Raddon, founder of Raddon Financial Group, died on July 29. He was 72.
Raddon formed the strategic research and counseling firm that bears his name in 1982. It was sold to Open Solutions Inc. in 2006. The company's products and services include consumer research, market analysis and MCIF tools.
Raddon, a native of Salt Lake City and graduate of Brigham Young University, also was a well-known industry expert, speaker and author and served on the faculties of several state banking schools.

"He was an inspiration, mentor and friend to us all. Gary's integrity, pursuit of knowledge and dedication to client service guide us still today," said Bob Dye, RFG's general manager and chief operations officer.
Louis Hernandez Jr., Open Solutions chairman/CEO, said, "We are all deeply saddened by the loss of Gary Raddon, a true industry visionary. Gary set a great example, and he was admired by all those who knew him."
Raddon is survived by his wife, Lynda, five children and nine grandchildren.
