HONOLULU — Employees who lost their jobs when Aloha Airlines shut down in March have another resource to turn to financial help, Aloha Airlines Federal Credit Union said.
The KHON2′s Lokahi Giving Project provides assistance with paying household bills, including rent, mortgage payments, car payments, car insurance and medical premiums, the $30 million credit union reported. Aloha Airlines FCU has provided links on its Web site (www.alohafcu.com) to the financial assistance and medical assistance forms from the project.
Nearly 1,000 members of Aloha Airlines FCU were impacted when Aloha Airlines ceased operations on March 31. The credit union has provided loan deferments and other forms of aid to help members.
