BOULDER, Colo. — Gerry Agnes has been named the newpresident/CEO of $850 million Elevations Credit Union two monthsafter a move from president and chief operating officer to chieffinancial officer at $936 million Altura CU.

Agnes succeeds Bill Sterner, who died from a heart attack onMarch 31.

In March 2007, Agnes was promoted from executive vice presidentand COO to president of Altura. Mark Hawkins had held the posts ofboth president and CEO at Altura prior to the title split. In June,citing the need for the credit union to be in a prime position torespond to marketplace changes, Agnes was named renamed COO ofAltura. Hawkins again became president/CEO. Agnes had been withAltura for six years.
