AUSTIN, Texas — The Credit Union Information Security Professionals Association will present a Webcast on unified threat management on Tuesday, Aug. 12, at 4 p.m. EDT.
UTM offerings generally refer to devices or software that combine such features as spam filters, anti-virus protections, Web content filtering, and intrusion detection and prevention with standard network firewalls.
“The UTM concept has not seen the adoption it's worthy of despite the enormous benefits it provides in terms of simplification, manageability and cost of network gateway security,” CUISPA said in the Webinar announcement.
The session will evaluate several UTM deployments at credit unions and provide a look at UTM capabilities and pros and cons, the organization said.
