MERIDEN, Conn. — One small change to eco-friendly coffee cups in its branches last year has helped spark a green movement at Seasons Federal Credit Union.

The credit union has recently opened the doors what it says is New England's first environmentally friendly credit union branch. Seasons FCU is aiming for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification for the branch interior from the U.S. Green Building Council.

With a credit union mission of 'changing members' lives for the better, going 'green' is a natural next step for the credit union says CEO Keith Wiemert.
