MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. -- Laura Oberhelman has joined Kinecta Federal Credit Union as Director of Corporate Communications, a post responsible for internal and external communications and government relations.
Previously, Oberhelman was vice president of public relations for New Century Financial Corporation, a mortgage lender based in Irvine, Calif. Prior to that, she spent seven years with Cox Communications, where she managed communications for local cable systems in Orange County and San Diego and served as corporate spokesperson for Cox's headquarters in Atlanta.
"Laura is a seasoned communications professional who brings to Kinecta an extensive background in media relations, corporate communications and crisis communications," said Vice President of Marketing and Communications Cathy Dominguez. "We look forward to her developing effective internal and external communications strategies."
