Diamond Credit Union, Pottstown, Pa., announced that its chairman of the board Herbert Yost celebrated its 25 years of service. Yost started his volunteer services to the credit union in 1983 where he served on the former supervisory committee for two years. He was first elected to the board in 1985 and at the end of 2007 completed his 23rd consecutive year as a director.

Charter Oak Federal Credit Union, Groton, Conn., announced several promotions and appointments. Sundae Franklin was promoted to manager of the Niantic office. Franklin was most recently a full-time collector at Charter Oak. Sonya Credit was promoted to manager of the Dayville branch. Credit has been with Charter Oak since March 2005. Robert Marquis was appointed to manager of the new Montville office. Marquis was most recently the manager of the Dayville branch and has been at Charter Oak since 1998. Linda Montesi rejoined Charter Oak as call center manager. Montesi was an employee at Charter Oak for 15 years before she relocated to New York. Bradley Sullivan was appointed to senior vice president and chief financial officer. Sullivan joins Charter Oak from Fidelity Bank where he was executive vice president and chief financial officer.

AmeriChoice Federal Credit Union, Mechanicsburg, Pa., announced that Vicki Mardis has been hired as mortgage originator. Mardis has more than eight years of experience working in the mortgage industry. Her previous experience includes serving as a residential mortgage originator, processor and closer. Mardis will be responsible for originating first and second mortgages for AmeriChoice offices located in South Central Pennsylvania.

Royal Credit Union, Eau Claire, Wis., announced the appointment of Josh Odegard as assistant branch manager. Odegard's primary responsibilities will be working with the lending and deposit services within the branch, along with assisting the overall operations of the office. Odegard brings over seven years of experience to his position. He began his career in credit unions in high school as a financial youth apprenticeship student in Merrill, Wis. He started at RCU in 2001 as a member loan processor. Also, Erik LeMay has been promoted to applications support manager. LeMay will be located at the corporate center and will be working with the implementation of new systems and processes as well as supporting current applications. LeMay started at RCU in 2004 as a teller and was most recently the assistant branch manager of the Woodward Avenue office.

MIDWEST
Afena Federal Credit Union, Marion, Ind., announced that board member Terry Shafer celebrated 30 years of service. Shafer joined the management board at Afena in June of 1978. He has held every board seat except chairman. During his tenure on the board the credit union has consistently increased its membership, grown its deposits and added innovative products and services to its offering.

WEST
Pacific Northwest Federal Credit Union, Portland, Ore., announced that Jessica Blancas has been promoted to member service operations manager. This is a new position at the credit union that focuses on monitoring call center personnel and member service projects. Blancas started at Pacific Northwest as a member service representative at the Vancouver branch in 2005. She has since worked in the support department as well as the cash team leader at the branch.

SunCorp Corporate Credit Union, Denver, announced that Mark Lau, Shelley Clarke and Kimberley Withers were appointed to SunCorp's executive committee. Lau is the chairman of the board of directors, Clarke is the vice chairman and Withers is secretary/treasurer.

Altier Credit Union, Tempe, Ariz., announced the appointment of Rachel Ripperger to the position of marketing analyst. Ripperger has more than 17 years of marketing experience. She will handle the overall strategic marketing direction, which includes advertising, promotion and market research functions. Ripperger previously served as marketing special projects coordinator for SunWest Federal Credit Union.

Ent Federal Credit Union, Denver, announced the hiring of Brian Kayton to its business banking team. Kayton has been in the financial services industry for over five years and most recently served as a credit union assistant vice president and regional branch manager in Fort Collins, Colo. Kayton will be serving Ent's Denver locations that were recently acquired as a result of a merger with Denver's US Alliance Credit Union in May. He will also serve Ent's Buckley AFB service center.

The Golden 1 Credit Union, Sacramento, Calif., announced that Robert Garrison has been named senior vice president of operations. Garrison previously served as the credit union's vice president of payment services. Garrison joined The Golden 1 as a vice president. Prior to that, he had over 30 years of experience working with banks in Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Wauna Federal Credit Union, Clatskanie, Ore., announced that Brandi Page has celebrated 10 years with the credit union. Page is the Clatskanie branch manager and supervises a branch team of seven employees.

Kitsap Credit Union, Bremerton, Wash., announced the hiring of George Hall as senior vice president/chief lending officer. Hall began his career in 1976 at Pacific First Federal Credit Union working in loan servicing. Hall's responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing Kitsap's 75 year tradition of providing safe, sound and secure lending programs and services.

VENDOR
Credit Union Service Network, Lakewood, Colo., announced the hiring of Dale Pierce as new business development account manager. Pierce's duties will be to attract new shared branching participants and to grow the network throughout CUSN's regional market. Pierce has been working in the credit union industry for the past 20 years. He was the CEO for Denver Water department Credit Union for five years, executive vice president for St. Vrain Valley Credit Union for four years and was most recently lending manager for Members Federal Credit Union. Pierce also served as vice president for the Flatirons Chapter of Credit Unions Board of Directors from 2004-2007.

W.J. Bradley Company, Dallas, announced the appointment of Roy Browning as chief financial officer. Browning has an extensive financial services background and most recently served as executive vice president and chief financial officer at Collateral Real Estate Capital and previously as executive vice president and chief financial officer for Aurora Loan Services, a mortgage banking subsidiary of Lehman Brothers.

Financial Insights, Framingham, Mass., announced the expansion of its global banking team. The additions included Marc DeCastro as research manager within the consumer banking and credit practice, Karen Massey as senior research analyst, Patricia McGinnis as research director within the corporate banking practice, Trevor LaFleche joined the European banking team, Batara Siagian joined the Asia/Pacific team as a research manager and Angeline Lee joined the Asia/Pacific team as a market analyst conducting independent research and consulting for the Asia/Pacific banking, capital markets and IT benchmarking practices.

DRI Management Systems, Newport Beach, Cali., announced that Fred Melgaard joined the company as executive vice president. Melgaard's responsibilities include managing major client relationships, customer relations, sales, marketing and projects for the company. Melgaard comes to DRI from Harland Financial Solutions where he served in various capacities since 1999, including vice president of servicing products and customer experience. Melgaard has 19 years experience in the industry that includes senior management positions at several technology firms.
