PITTSBURGH -- For the second time this year, Clearview Federal Credit Union has expanded its nonmember checking cashing services.
The $650 million credit union has included the service at its Center Township, Chippewa, and Hopewell Township branches. Area residents can cash payroll and government checks for a fee of $2 per check. Residents do not need to be a member of or have an account at the credit union, according to Clearview.
Residents need a valid driver's license or government-issued photo ID and general personal information will be required in order to cash a check. Payroll and government checks in the maximum amount of $1,500 are accepted.
In April, Clearview started offering the check cashing service at its Brentwood and Kennedy Township branches. Nonmembers can now cash their checks at seven of the credit union's branches.
