LAS VEGAS — Marking a new approach to joint conferencing, two credit union CUSOs, Credit Union Direct Lending Corp. and Prime Alliance Solutions, announced plans Wednesday for a combined auto lending/mortgage symposium in 2009.

The "premiere event and first in the industry," said the announcement, will bring together lending attendees from both disciplines for the CUDL Prime Alliance Lending Symposium to be held May 13-15 in Las Vegas.

"The new symposium will provide credit unions with a single event that provides vital insight to all aspects of lending, addressing the major issues and trends affecting the industry as a whole," said a press release issued by Los Angeles-based CUDL and Prime Alliance, headquartered in Tukwila, a Seattle suburb.

Announcement of the conference merger or partnership was made during the opening session of CUDL's annual meeting convening here this week at the Venetian Resort/Casino.

The 2009 conference, said the planners, will have a broad lineup of educational sessions and top speakers covering mortgages and auto segments as well as "all aspects of the lending marketplace."

This is the 10th year for CUDL's annual symposium which is drawing 500 executives.
