BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The $1.2 billion Polish and Slavic FederalCredit Union has launched a mobile branch to bring the CU closer toits steadily farther flung membership.

The mobile branch is a forty foot truck which carries an ATM, amember service area, and two teller windows. Members banking at themobile branch will be able to make deposits and withdrawals as wellas applying for a wide variety of loans, including creditcards.

Just a few yearsago it would have been impossible to process transactions in realtime; now, thanks to the wireless connectivity, our mobile branchhas full functionality you would expect from a traditional branch.”said Bogdan Chmielewski, Polish and Slavic CEO. “This is also aunique and modern way to introduce the credit union difference topotential new members, while at the same time servicing so many ofour dispersed membership in those areas.”
