MADISON, Wis. — CUNA Mutual Group said Friday credit unions in four states are now closed due to flooding and power outages with some reporting water damage though none have reported any significant losses.
Meanwhile, the Iowa Credit Union League in Des Moines listed closings and branch relocations for 13 of its member CUs as league and CU staffers left their desks again today to perform sandbag duty on the Des Moines River.
The most severely impacted CUs, said the league, are those in Cedar Falls, Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, and Waterloo but several were reopening facilities today in some areas.
For its part, CUNA Mutual said its Disaster Response Team has been placed into action and handling claims from CUs in Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Indiana.
