WASHINGTON — NCUA Board Vice Chairman Rodney E. Hood is scheduled to be the featured speaker at the Illinois Credit Union League's Small CU Asset Size Conference in August.

Hood, who was appointed by President Bush, will speak and answer questions about the state of the credit union industry and regulatory affairs issues.

The conference, scheduled to take place August 5 and 6, will take at the ICU System Center in Naperville, Ill., and is designed for credit unions with assets of $20 million or less.

Other sessions at the conference include: A presentation on disaster recovery by Gary Peck, CEO of United CU in Chicago; a session on collections and bankruptcy by Sheila O'Connor, manager of collectors resource services of ICUL Service Corp.; and a compliance update by Carol Bertoux, the league's associate general counsel.
