PHOENIX — There is a “Miracle Maker” at Desert Schools FederalCredit Union.
|Desert Schools FCU Senior Vice President Ron Amstutz hasrecently received the Credit Unions for Kids Miracle Maker Awardfrom the Children's Miracle Network.
|Amstutz received the award for his tireless efforts as thedriving force behind major fundraising efforts for the PhoenixChildren's Hospital's, “1 Darn Cool School,” an on-site classroomfacility that benefits long-term patients.
|In 2007, the credit union's members, employees and sponsorscontributed $340,000 to Phoenix Children's Hospital. The funds areraised through a variety of events all year from an annual golftournament and branch change drives to an employee BBQ, Bowl-a-Thonand online donations.
|Desert Schools is the top credit union in the nation for fundsraised for the Children's Miracle Network raising more than $1.5million since 1998.
