LIVE OAK, Texas — Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union has signed on to use EasCorp's remote-deposit capture service for consumers and small businesses.
The DeposZip service will allow the 258,000 members of the $3 billion CU to scan checks at home or work and make their own electronic deposits.
Texas-based Randolph-Brooks (www.rbfcu.org) is the 16th credit union to select the service from EasCorp, a 300-member corporate CU based in Burlington, Mass.

The solution requires no special software and is accessed through customized screens on the client credit unions' online banking sites. The scanned image is captured and verified by $2 billion EasCorp (www.eascorp.org), which then displays the image to the credit union for verification and release for collection.
"We looked into other possible service providers, and chose DeposZip service because of its proven track record and staff's responsiveness," said Christopher O'Connor, Randolph-Brooks senior vice president, member services.
"The service was already being used by some larger credit unions, whose members, like ours, are spread out geographically," O'Connor said.
