ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Just in time for its newest hire set to start on Friday, Michigan Business Connection LC moved to a new 2,100-square foot headquarters last week to make way for future expansion.
The larger space offers more privacy for operations staff as well as room for growth, said Bill Beardsley, president of MBC. Formed in 2004, the CUSO underwrites and originates commercials loans. MBC previously occupied a 1,300-square foot facility. All MBC contact information remains the same.
In other news, the CUSO has hired Shannon Soupal as a commercial credit manager. Soupal who starts on Thursday, brings credit underwriting, credit staff management and commercial lending/business development skills to MBC, Beardsley said.

"Her regional bank upbringing in a community market prepared her well for the type and size of loans we regularly underwrite and manage," Beardsley said.
The CUSO's staff now has seven fulltime employees, one part-time employee, two college interns and one part-time high school employee.
MBC is owned by MidWest Financial CU, State Employees CU (Mich.), Detroit Edison CU, Macomb Schools and Government CU, and Christian Financial CU.
