PORTLAND, Ore. — The $2.6 billion OnPoint Community Credit Unionwill make history when it issues credit cards for the first timelater this year.

The CU has signed up with PSCU Financial Services, the paymentsCUSO serving more than 500 credit unions who process their cards onthe First Data Corp. platform, according to an announcement fromthe cooperative.

The credit union, which is already a large auto lender, put thedecision to start a card portfolio in the context of its existinglending.
