WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Passageways LLC is going uptown for its fourth-annual users' conference.
This year's PowWOW Advanced User and Developer Conference will be held May 7-9 at the lakeside W Hotel in Chicago.
More than 50 of the company's client base of about 150 credit unions and banks have registered to participate. The conference will focus on intranet and portal development and feature Passageways' latest introductions: Portal Framework 4.0 and a new search module.
“Combined with the participation of our customers, the products provide a solid foundation for easy-to-deploy web applications, broad support for .NET technologies, and new opportunities for extending these products into the financial institution enterprise,” said Chris Beltran, co-founder and vice president of Passageways, which began business five years ago as a CUSO of Purdue Employees Federal Credit Union.
The conference will include more than 10 hours of educational sessions and speakers including Randy Karnes of core processor and technology providers CU*Answers and Randy Harrington and Tisha Oehmen of Extreme Arts & Sciences. Passageways' purchase of Extreme Arts & Sciences' portal business in 2004 added 30 clients to the young business.
