OGDEN, Utah — Goldenwest Credit Union has raised over $50,000 for nine local schools during its eighth annual "5K For Schools".
One-hundred percent of the registration fees will be donated to the schools, with Goldenwest adding $5 for each entry received.
The race drew the largest crowd in the event's history, with 2,600 runners and walkers registered for the event.

The 5K is a fundraiser for nine local schools–Bonneville High School, South Ogden Junior High, T.H. Bell Junior High, H. Guy Child Elementary, MarLon Hills Elementary, Roosevelt Elementary, Uintah Elementary, Washington Terrace Elementary, and Club Heights Elementary.
The donated funds will help the schools purchase much needed equipment and materials and will support a variety of programs including athletics and clubs.
