LAKE MARY, Fla. — Central Florida credit unions joined Representative Tom Feeney (R-Fla.) for a portion of his annual three-day walk on the Volusia County beaches.

Beach walkers included representatives from CFE Federal Credit Union, Healthcare FCU, Martin FCU, Orlando FCU, Kennedy Space Center FCU and the Florida Credit Union League.

According to attendees, the walk served as a town hall meeting, where credit union representatives got to raise questions and issues with Rep. Feeney, including the fallout from the subprime mortgage crisis and how credit unions can benefit, the cap on small business loans, the BSA Act and cost of BSA software, Reg Z and regulatory relief.
