CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Local media outlets are reporting that a teller one of the branches of the State Employees' Credit Union has been shot during a robbery. The female teller, whom neither authorities nor the credit union have yet identified, was shot during a robbery on Apr. 1, according to the reports.

The woman is in critical condition in a local hospital, the reports said. Police spokesmen have said they are looking for four individuals in connection with the robbery and shooting. Witnesses reported the four driving away after the shooting and throwing money, in which dye packs were exploding, from the car as they fled.

Most robberies do not involve weapons being displayed, much less used, according to FBI data.
