SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The California Department of Financial Institutions will swear in new DFI commissioner Bill Haraf during the league's Government Relations Rally April 7 or 8, according to outgoing league vice president of state government affairs Ron Fong.
Once Haraf is sworn in, the DFI is expected to name a new Deputy Commissioner of Credit Unions to replace former deputy Elizabeth Dooley, who left the position three months ago to take over as CEO of $1.6 billion Educational Employees Credit Union in Fresno.
