PASADENA, Calif. — LA Financial Credit Union is committing its core processing to the Symitar Episys platform from Jack Henry & Associates.

LA Financial, originally chartered as Courts and Records FCU, used to serve employees of the L.A. County court system until it was granted a charter in 2004 to serve the entire county, geographically the largest community FOM granted by the NCUA.

“We are confident that converting to Symitar's stable, reliable, widely implemented system is in the best interest of our members, our employees and our business,” said Barbara Nall, president and CEO of the $292 million, 34,000-member CU.

More than 600 credit unions run on platforms from Symitar (www.symitar.com.)

LA Financial (www.financial.org) currently uses a platform from Open Solutions Inc., according to the NCUA Web site.
