Jersey Shore Federal Credit Union, Northfield, N.J., announced Jeannie Straub was named its Employee of the Year for 2007. Straub serves as administrative support-executive management at Jersey Shore FCU. Straub joined Jersey Shore FCU in July of 2006 as a Call Center Representative.

Greater New Orleans Federal Credit Union, Metairie, La., announced the hiring of Daniel Tran as vice president of information technology. Also, Kim Tran as director of finance.

Langley Federal Credit Union, Newport News, Va., announced that Ingo Huemer as vice president of the newly created risk management department. Huemer joined LFCU in 2005 as the assistant vice president of audit.

The Wisconsin Credit Union League, Pewaukee, Wis., announced the hiring of two employees and five promotions. Michelle Haslam was hired as compliance specialist and Melissa Wittig was hired as member communications specialist. Joanne Whiting was promoted to executive vice president/chief advocacy officer. Mary Bliss was promoted to executive vice president/chief operating officer. Tom Liebe was promoted to vice president of government affairs. Jill Weber was promoted to director of member solutions. Chad Helminak was promoted to public relations specialist.

Consumers Credit Union, Kalamazoo, Mich., announced that employee Grace Borgfjord was named one of Southwest Michigan's prominent women in buiness at the 2008 Miss Mattawan Scholarship Program.

Columbia Credit Union, Vancouver, Wash., announced the hiring of three members to its business lending team. Lori Lindsell and Coletta Bruce have been hired as department vice presidents and John Acevedo has been hired as vice president and manager.

Wescom Credit Union, Pasadena, Calif., announced the hiring of Diane Smith as vice president of human resources.

Clark County Credit Union, Las Vegas, announced the promotion of Tina Rice from teller to commercial loan assistant. Rice has been at CCCU for more than ten years and has held various positions at the CU including financial operations manager, branch, manager, card services, and teller. Also, Sherry Klingensmith was hired as information systems specialist at the Tenaya location.

Service Plus Credit Union, Riverside, Calif., announced that Ryan Kane has been named to the newly created position of Network and Systems Manager.

Mountain America Credit Union, Salt Lake City, announced that Gayla Bell was chosen as the Top Business Person in American Fork by the American Fork Chamber of Commerce. In addition to serving on the board, Bell helped start the Women in Business network.
