ATLANTA — More than 450 credit union financial advisors participated in CUNA Brokerage Services Inc's. recent week-long national sales conference aimed at enhancing reps' development and taking their businesses to the next level.

FOCUS 2008 featured more than 40 workshops designed to deliver motivation, knowledge, insight and best practices to the 458 who attended the CBSI event at the Sheraton Atlanta. The various curriculum tracks provided reps with choices based on their individual and business needs. Topics included retirement income planning, structuring annuity contracts, gifting strategies, Six Sigma investing, unified managed accounts and investing in real estate.

Many of the workshops were structured to meet continuing education credit requirements, according to CUNA Mutual. Annual compliance training was also offered.
