BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Jefferson County Teachers' Credit Union will be converting to an in-house core processing system from XP Systems.

The $89 million CU said its decision followed a three-month review and was based on the XP2 platform's open architecture and features such as built-in contact management, plus XP Systems' track record in transitioning credit unions from a service bureau environment.

"We chose XP2 because the system will give us control [and] improve access to accounting information, general ledger activity, member information, and reports. XP2 will also improve our real estate programs and efforts," said Joey Hand, CEO of 15,000-member JCTCU.
