Security Service Federal Credit Union, San Antonio, has appointed Sandra Quinn to the senior mortgage officer position at its newest service center at the Rim shopping center. Previously, Quinn provided mortgage services at the De Zavala location.

Destinations Credit Union, Baltimore, Md., announced Director Richard Rhinehart will celebrate his 100th birthday on March 10. Rhinehart has served Destinations CU for nearly 60 years, and served on the Board of Directors for most of that time. A few years ago, when he stepped down from the board he was made an honorary director. Rhinehart still attends every meeting, and even works on special projects at the credit union such as helping to rebuild the storage room.

CFE Federal Credit Union, Lake Mary, Fla., announced that Lisa Gomes is a graduate of the CUNA Certification Program and has received the designation of Certified Credit Union Executive. Also, Manager of Collections Annette Boyd was selected as Manager of the Year for 2007, and Marketing Specialist Angela Garabo was selected as Employee of the Year for 2007.

El Paso Employees Federal Credit Union, El Paso, Texas, announced that Larry Moreno has been hired as vice president in charge of lending.

The Association of Credit Union Internal Auditors, Columbus, Ohio, announced the start of the three-year term for two new board members. Jill Chase, CIA, and Barbara Franco, CPA, CIA started on the board in January. Chase is the vice president of Audit Services for Washington Sate Employees Credit Union. Franco is the internal audit director for Government Employees Credit Union.

USA One Credit Union, Matterson, Ill., announced Karen Gilliam-Brown has been hired as director of finance.

Family Financial Credit Union, Muskegon, Mich., announced the new hires of Tim Kindred, Tammy Topkins, and Erin Folland. Kindred was hired as vice president of lending. Topkins has come back to Family Financial CU as executive vice president. Folland was hired as credit analyst and mortgage specialist.

Afena Federal Credit Union, Marion, Ind., has presented Member Service Coordinator Dorothy Fisher with its Outstanding Service Award. Fisher has been with Afena FCU for 25 years. Indirect Lending Representative Lorri Furnish received the Outstanding Service Award. Furnish has been with Afena FCU for 11 years. Member Relationship Officer Shirley Embry was spotlighted for helping a member purchase a piece of foreclosed property. Embry has been with the CU for 27 years.
