State Employees' Credit Union, Raleigh, N.C., concluded its year long Million Dollar Sweepstakes to encourage use of E-statements. Drawings took place through out 2007 and resulted in a total of $1,000,000 awarded to SECU member-owners. Through out the year, 20 SECU members won $25,000 and 100 members won $5,000. The sweepstakes was created to educate members on the cost to the credit union each month to print and mail paper statements and to encourage switching to E-statements. Since January 2007, 95,000 members switched over to E-statements.
