BURLINGTON, Mass. — Paragon Federal Credit Union is now using EasCorp's remote capture service at the $375 million CU's self-service kiosks.

"With our self-service kiosk project, EasCorp enabled us to develop an innovative service for our members, which has become an important part of our overall service-delivery strategy," said Richard Rays, Paragon FCU's president/CEO.

The eDeposit service allows credit unions to capture transit checks electronically and transmit image cash letters to EasCorp for processing, which improves funds availability and eliminates courier services for those items.

The service also eliminates geographic boundaries, EasCorp said. Paragon FCU is based in Montvale, N.J., and also has branches in New York and Pennsylvania. The 300-member corporate said it now serves CUs in 15 states, stretching from California to Maine.

EasCorp developed the eDeposit service internally. It includes duplicate and MICR-code line mismatch detection, image-quality and usability tests, layered security, built-in reporting and research capabilities.
