MILWAUKIE, Ore. — Clackamas Federal Credit Union has been named business of the year-for the second time in three years–by the Oregon City Chamber of Commerce.
Oregon City also honored CFCU's Community Development Officer Margy Lynch, naming her citizen of the year.
CFCU was the only financial institution in the county considered for business of the year honors. The award acknowledges CFCU's active community involvement.

Throughout 2007, CFCU employees were engaged in a variety of activities across Clackamas County including volunteering in local schools, at community events, and supporting local non-profit causes. In addition, the credit union consistently hired interns from within the community and opened two new branches to better serve members throughout Clackamas County.
Citizen of the Year honors went to Margy Lynch for her support of Oregon City's fire and emergency services initiatives. Lynch lead the campaign to secure long term fire and emergency services, a measure that voters passed by 74%.
"These awards are especially gratifying because they honor our employees' service and commitment to the community," said CFCU CEO, Diann Owen-Gaines. "The awards also acknowledge the success we've had as a business, even in this time of economic uncertainty. 2007 was our 50th year in Clackamas County and we're committed to making a difference for the next 50 years."
