Turning to Denver-based RSS and Enterprise 2.0 technologiesprovider NewsGator's Social Sites and SharePoint Server 2007, CMEFCU has launched an intelligent social network along the lines ofFacebook and MySpace, so employees can see what colleagues areworking on and make easy connections between people, departmentsand project groups.

The move is based on the idea that by giving staffers a place toorganize and connect, they can communicate around businessinterests as well as collaborate on projects and more easily sharemember feedback and suggestions.

Within the new CME portal, employees can also track memberconcerns through a number of social media tools, including tags andtag clouds, which provide customer service managers and themanagement team real-time insight on member information andquestions.
