HERNDON, Va. — DigitalMailer Inc.'s credit union clients can now use their electronic statement and alerts provider to send out free e-mail blasts for charitable and community causes.

"By extending our e-marketing capabilities in this way, we can give credit unions a boost in their fund-raising and other outreach goals by quickly connecting them to their network of online members," said President/CEO Ron Daly, whose 8-year-old company serves about 125 credit unions and their 2.7 million members.

Daly said he expects more than a million such messages to be sent out this year.
