LAKE JACKSON, Texas — TDECU officials have announced that thecredit union has merged with THD District 13 Credit Union.
TDECU assumed operations of THD District 13 CU, located inYaokum, Texas on Jan. 31. THD District 13 CU had $4.7 million inassets. TDECU is one of the largest credit unions in the nation andwith the merger has added 1,100 new members and now reports over$1.2 billion in assets.
“TDECU is excited to partner with another Texas credit unionthat shares our same member-focused service philosophy. During thefirst quarter of 2008 we will expand our operations in Yoakum byopening a new full-service branch,” said Max Villaronga, TDECU vicepresident retail delivery. “We are fully committed to expanding ourpresence in Southwest Texas and plan to open several additionalfull-service branches throughout the area within the nextyear.”
