WASHINGTON — The Little Guy, CUNA's cartoon character meant torepresent credit union's service to its members, paid another visitto Capitol Hill yesterday. Credit union representatives took theLittle Guy in pictures, signs, placards and buttons to Capitol Hillstreets, subway stations and congressional offices.

The Little Guy's revisit to Capitol Hill was meant to promote anew Web site, www.lookoutforthelittleguy.org, and to remindlegislators and staff that credit unions exist to serve the LittleGuy.

“Political campaigns use 'stand outs' to demonstrate support fora particular candidate or cause by gathering a group of supportersequipped with signs to distribute literature or buttons or othercampaign paraphernalia,” explained CUNA spokesman Pat Keeferemarking on the use of a large cut out image of the character. “Wefelt congressional staff, in this historic political year when theyare paying close attention to the elections, would be drawn to anelection event look and feel when reintroducing the Little Guy forthe year.”
