WESTBROOK, Maine — Helping credit unions grow their membership will be a top priority for the Maine Credit Union League this year.

The league's Membership Growth Committee, which includes credit union operations, lending, marketing and management representatives, met for the first time this past fall and has started to schedule meetings for 2008. So far, several growth initiatives have taken form including learning more about Generation Y and their perceptions of credit unions, forming financial literacy and human resource councils to provide discussion forums, networking and training.
