HARRISBURG, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Credit Union Association has formed a new professional group for credit union employees serving the member business services market.
The Business Services Professionals Group will provide networking, learning, and information sharing opportunities for any professional involved in member business services. Membership in the group is open to business services professionals from any credit union with league membership in the Mid-Atlantic region, regardless of asset size or current offering of business services. Members of the group will play an active role in determining topics, frequency and location of future meetings, according to PCUA.
“Serving the business services market carries greater potential risk than typical consumer services,” according to Rick Wargo, executive vice president and general counsel at PCUA. “The Association wants to assist business services professionals in developing their skills and sharing information from their peers, in order to help minimize that risk.”
“MBL Participation Basics” will be the focus of the group's first meeting on March 27 at PCUA's office in Harrisburg.
There is no cost to join the group but a meeting fee of $99 will help defray the costs of meals, paid speakers, and faculties, PCUA said.
