REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — San Mateo Credit Union has deployedintegrated security appliances from Fortinet Inc. to secure itsin-branch online transactions.

The 62,000-member CU is using the Sunnyvale company'sFortiGate-60 appliances in its network of in-branch computers thatallow members to online bank and surf the Internet.

Meanwhile, the Silicon Valley company's FortiGate-800 device isbeing used to provide Web content filtering, firewall, anti-virusand spam protection for internal network traffic at $613 millionSan Mateo CU. Another Fortinet solution is being used to manage theoverall system.
