KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Thanks to four years of fund raising, western Michigan credit unions working under the umbrella of the Kalamazoo Chapter of the Michigan Credit Union League are receiving credit this month for support of this area's first neonatal hospital.
"We are proud to be the first organization to commit funds to this project," declared Chapter Chair John Sink, in commenting on ceremonies opening Bronson Methodist Hospital's newly renovated North Pavilion and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
The chapter is getting a room named for it in the new facility in recognition of $10,000 in earmarks and donated funds from the group's annual charity golf outing. A total of $5,000 was raised over the last two years.

"We saw the opportunity to have a room named for the chapter in Bronson's new NICU as the perfect way to demonstrate the credit union philosophy of 'People Helping People,'" said Sink.
