VIENNA, Va. — For Navy Federal Credit Union, branching out has been essential to enhancing its first-class member service and providing more member convenience.
In 2007 alone, Navy Federal expanded its worldwide network of branches by 25%.
"With this expansion, we are providing greater convenience and service to more of our members wherever they might live and work," said Navy Federal President/CEO Cutler Dawson. "We've added over 165,000 new members year-to-date, which has resulted in a worldwide membership of 3 million members."

Plans are underway to more than double the number of full service branches by 2012. The credit union has also grown substantially internally to continue to provide service excellence; more than 2,600 new employees were hired in 2007.
Navy Federal is the largest credit union in the world with over $34 billion in assets and 3 million members.
