PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Two days after unveiling its new name, Riverset Credit Union has filed an application with the Pennsylvania Department of Banking to merge with Duke Federal Credit Union.
Previously known as Pittsburgh Teachers Credit Union, the $87 million Riverset officially launched its new moniker on Jan. 1. According to the Pennsylvania Department of Banking, Riverset filed an application on Jan. 3 to merge with $1 million Duke FCU.
On Dec.3, Riverset filed an amendment to its articles of incorporation to provide service to the underserved and low-income area served by Duke FCU.
Pittsburgh-based Duke FCU serves roughly 500 members. Riverset FCU serves more than 13,000 members.
