HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — It's homecoming for Redstone Federal Credit Union's new President/CEO Joseph H. Newberry.
With more than 30 years of experience in the financial services sector, Newberry returns to $2.1 billion Redstone FCU after serving as president/CEO of Achieva Credit Union in Largo, Fla. Prior to joining Acheiva he had been with Redstone for thirteen years, serving as its executive vice president of communications and lending.
"We are very excited to welcome Joe Newberry back to Redstone Federal Credit Union," said Redstone FCU Board Chairman Charles L. Ray Jr. "Joe brings with him a level of knowledge and experience that will provide the credit union with a solid vision for the future."

During his years at Redstone, Newberry actively represented the credit union in a variety of industry, charitable, and civic capacities. He possesses a distinguished record of honors and awards, such as a Lifetime Membership in the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce.
As an active member of the Huntsville and greater Northern Alabama communities, he served on many community boards and with numerous civic organizations, including the U.S. Space and Rocket Center finance committee, the American Red Cross of Madison and Marshall counties, the Greater Huntsville Rotary, and the Alabama Constitution Village Foundation.
"Redstone Federal Credit Union has a long history of providing its members with excellent financial services, and that is why it is among the leaders in the credit union industry," Newberry said. "I look forward to returning to the Redstone Federal Credit Union team and the community that I love."
Newberry begins his new post at Redstone FCU effective Jan. 21, 2008.
