St. GEORGE, Utah — A branch of the $187 million Beehive Credit Union, whose members have just been sent the ballots they will use to decide whether their CU will become a mutual bank, has been robbed.
Police in St. George, Utah say that the man described as six feet tall and white, in his late 20s or 30s with a thin build, unshaven with short brown hair, wearing a ball cap and a sweatshirt, passed a note to a bank teller at about 9:15 am on Jan. 14 and demanded money.
The police said the robber had not shown or mentioned a weapon. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash. Shortly after he walked out of the credit union a dye pack went off, staining the suspect and the money, the police added.
