RALEIGH, N.C. — State Employees' Credit Union is once again showing its support for the State Employees Combined Campaign.

The SECC is a giving campaign that allows active and retired employees of the State of North Carolina to donate to charitable organizations. Since its inception in 1986, state employees and retirees have continuously supported the SECC to raise more than $70 million for hundreds of charitable organizations.

Although SECU staffers are not considered state employees, they strongly believe in supporting SECC and in 2007 SECU employees across the state donated nearly $53,000 for the campaign.

In addition to the staff donations, SECU members via the SECU Foundation also supported the recent campaign by funding publication costs of the sponsorship resource guide containing the list of SECC approved charities, as well as the retiree pledge brochures.

The financial support of the 2007 campaign is the first year of a three-year commitment representing total funding of nearly $200,000.
