BROOKFIELD, Wis. — Countrywide Financial Corp.'s veteran chiefinformation officer is taking a similar position at Fiserv Inc.

Richard K. Jones will be Fiserv's new executive vice presidentand CIO and will report to President/CEO Jeffery Yabuki. He willhave oversight responsibility for global infrastructure andtechnology governance, and for spearheading programs to increaseefficiency and effectiveness of Fiserv's dispersed technologyresources.

Jones has 30 years of technology experience. The last 12 havebeen with Countrywide, where he has been senior managing directorand CIO since 2000. There, Fiserv says, Jones establishedindustry-leading technology practices, developed Countrywide'sglobal mortgage banking software and Web site infrastructure,enhanced risk management capabilities and led the replacement oflegacy systems.
