DALLAS — The Texas Credit Union Foundation has dispersed a record $360,423 in grants in 2007.

Focused on its mission, "Empowering People to Improve Their Financial Well Being," the Foundation's grants program included key programs to benefit all Texans, as well as core programs like credit union grants, disaster relief and SCMS scholarships.

Here's how it breaks down. TCUF issued 58 general grants totaling $243,423; nine financial literacy grants totaling over $60,000; and Southwest CUNA Management School scholarships totaling over $57,000 for credit union professionals.
